Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2026
WWIT respects your privacy.
WWIT is a small, non-commercial hobby project designed to help you send voice messages to your future self. We collect only the minimum information required to operate the service.
What we collect
- Email address (used only to deliver your message to you)
- The text and voice note you choose to record
- Basic technical data required to run the website
How your data is handled
- All user data (including email addresses and voice notes) is stored in an anonymised form in our database.
- Your voice notes and messages are not accessible, not playable, and not reviewed by the creator of WWIT or anyone else.
- Your voice note can only be accessed by you, using the unique link sent to your email.
- We do not share your data with third parties and we do not use it for analytics, training, or advertising.
Deletion and retention
- After you open and play your voice note, it is automatically and permanently deleted 7 days later.
- Deleted voice notes cannot be recovered.
- Because WWIT is a hobby project, long-term data availability before playback is not guaranteed.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
- We do not analyze, listen to, or process your voice notes beyond delivering them back to you.
Updates
Any updates to this privacy policy will be posted on the WWIT website.
